I was lucky enough to finally see The Waybacks last night at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. For those that think of them as a Blue Grass band, think again. For others who don’t know of them, each performance is a musical treat. This sample gives you a taste. They also played The Beatles’ Glass Onion and Richard Thompson’s 1952 Vincent Black Lightning. Bliss!

It sounds crazy for a middle-aged man to be grieving so terrifically about someone he didn’t actually know. I am grateful that my lifetime has been blessed by Steve, Apple products and a way of computing that has brought my family and me so much joy. True genius: Apple filled a gap consumers didn’t even know existed.

Arizona U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords, critically wounded in a recent violent shooting at an Arizona supermarket during a meet and greet, was among a group of Democratic House candidates featured on the web site of Sarah Palin’s political action committee with cross hairs over their districts, a fact that disturbed Ms. Giffords at the time.
“We’re on Sarah Palin’s targeted list,” Ms. Giffords said last March. “But the thing is the way that she has it depicted has the cross hairs of a gun sight over our district. When people do that, they’ve got to realize there’s consequences to that.”
